How the day unfolds
Two hours on the road are enough to change the scenery completely. Honfleur is for the morning, around the Vieux Bassin and the half-timbered houses that drew Boudin and Monet. The afternoon goes to Deauville, on the boardwalk and in front of the Belle Époque villas, then Trouville on the other side of the Touques. Out of season the coast is empty, and that is probably the best time to see it. Back in Paris in the early evening.
