Travelling as a family of four or five with children often costs less by taxi than by train once you add up full-fare tickets. Child seats and boosters are provided at no extra cost, breaks are decided on the road, and nobody carries suitcases along a platform. Your own front door and the destination door are the only handling points.
How it works
Tell us the children's ages when booking: we bring the infant carrier, the group 1 seat or the booster you need, fitted before you come down. The boot takes a pushchair on top of the suitcases. On a journey over four hours we plan a stop at a service area with toilets and something to eat, not on an empty motorway lay-by. The children stay with you from start to finish, with no change of vehicle.
What is included, what is not
The price depends on the vehicle and the distance, not on the number of passengers: two adults and three children pay for one sedan, not five tickets. Compare it with full-fare rail on a Friday at the start of the holidays, discount card included: from three or four people the gap closes, and door-to-door comes on top. Pets travel too, in a carrier for small animals.

How is the price of this service calculated?
From the real road distance between the pick-up address and the destination address, not from a per-city grid. The calculator above gives you the amount in seconds, tolls and fuel included. The price is for the whole vehicle: it does not change whether one or four of you travel in a sedan.
How far in advance should I book?
The day before is enough in most cases, and we also take same-day requests when a car is free. For a departure between 2 and 5 a.m., book 24 hours ahead if you can: the driver is then in position at the exact time. You receive a written confirmation with the price, the driver's name and the vehicle's registration.
Can the price change between booking and the journey?
No. The amount confirmed in writing before departure is what you pay on arrival. A traffic jam, a diversion forced by the road or an extra break does not change it. Only a change you request — a stop along the way, a different destination address, an extended wait — leads to a new quote, stated before it is applied.
