Taxi Paris to Switzerland: the essentials
Switzerland is not in the European Union: the border crossing is a genuine customs post, and a valid identity card or passport is essential. The vehicle carries the Swiss motorway vignette, included in the price. Paris to Geneva is 540 km and about 5 h 30, from €1,425; Paris to Basel, the shortest link, starts at €1,325.

Worth knowing before you book
Have every passenger's identification ready before departure, children included: it is the one thing that can genuinely stop a journey to Switzerland. Goods and large sums of money must be declared at customs, worth checking if you are carrying professional equipment. The most frequent links are Geneva and Basel, often for a banking or medical appointment, and Lausanne or Zurich for conferences.
The journey crosses a border: every passenger needs valid identification. The vehicle is insured for international travel.

What documents are needed for this journey?
A valid national identity card or passport for every passenger, children included, as soon as the journey crosses a border. For the United Kingdom a passport is mandatory and identity cards are no longer accepted. For Switzerland, outside the European Union, customs control is real. Check expiry dates before booking: it is the one thing we cannot sort out on the day of departure.
Are tolls and fuel included in the price?
Yes, along with tunnel tolls, foreign motorway vignettes and the vehicle's empty return leg. The amount quoted is what you pay on arrival. Not included are the driver's hotel nights on very long distances and waiting time on site if you ask for the car to stay with you: both are priced separately and stated before booking.
How many people and how much luggage can travel?
One to four people with three large suitcases in a sedan, up to seven people in a Mercedes V-Class van. The price is for the vehicle, not per passenger: with four of you it splits four ways. If you are carrying bulky items — skis, an instrument, professional equipment — say so when booking: we can remove a row of seats to double the load space.
